WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – The Utah Grizzlies announced that their high school marketing program is scheduled to begin Thursday at Hunter High School.
The team will visit select high school sports marketing classes once a week for six weeks. The first three weeks have the Grizzlies making presentations on ticket sales, marketing and public relations while the last three weeks the students focus on marketing a chosen Grizzlies game to their school.
Created by Grizzlies director of broadcasting/media and community relations Adrian Denny, the program is scheduled to visit seven high schools this season after working with Hunter High School, Alta High School, Jordan High School and Riverton High School a year ago.
The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
