Grizzlies receive MacIntyre from Norfolk

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Utah Grizzlies have been assigned veteran forward Steve MacIntyre from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.

The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the Admirals and the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League.

MacIntyre comes to the Grizzlies a veteran of 625 professional games, 91 of which have been played in the NHL with Pittsburgh, Florida and Edmonton. He is the second player to be assigned to the Grizzlies with NHL experience this week as Thursday Brandon Yip with 174 NHL games with Phoenix, Colorado and Nashville joined the Grizzlies.

The Saskatchewan native has two goals and two assists and 175 penalty minutes in the NHL. He has played in 208 AHL games and 168 ECHL games and has 2,392 penalty minutes over the course of his career.

He made his NHL debut Oct. 3, 2008 for Edmonton against Calgary.
