NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that defenseman Donny Grover has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Hershey Bears. The Stingrays also announced that they have signed rookie defenseman Jeff Moor.
The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the Calder Cup champion Bears of the AHL and the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League.
In his second professional season, the 24-year-old Grover has 23 points (8g-15a) and is one of two players to appear in all 42 games for South Carolina.
The 6-foot-4 and 205-pound Moor, who attended training camp with the Stingrays, has nine points (2g-7a) and 135 penalty minutes in 25 games for Columbus of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
