SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Gulls have announced the acquisition of defenseman Grady Moore from the Dayton Bombers in a three-team trade that sent goaltender Trevor Koenig and forward Colin Shields to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. The deal also involved Atlantic City forwards Rob McFeeters and Brett Nowak, who ended up in Dayton. McFeeters and Nowak were initially traded to San Diego for Koenig and Shields before being sent to Dayton by San Diego for Moore and future considerations.
The 26-year-old Moore has 14 points (2g-12a) in 33 games with Dayton and has also played on game in the American Hockey League with Milwaukee. In 2003-04, the 5-11 and 180-pound Moore had 24 points (5g-19a) while playing for Dayton and Toledo.
As a rookie in 2002-03, Moore ranked ninth among ECHL defensemen and second among rookie defensemen with 47 points. He was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team after leading rookie defensemen and ranking sixth among all rookies with 40 assists.
