DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that they have been assigned rookie defenseman Jim Sharrow from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
Sharrow is expected to be available for Thursday’s game against Augusta.
The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Wolves of the AHL and the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League.
Selected in the fourth round (110th overall) by Atlanta in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old has played three games with the Wolves.
The 6-foot-3 and 190-pound Sharrow played three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Halifax and had 47 points (16g-31a) and 76 penalty minutes in 69 regular season games and 11 points (5g-6a) and six penalty minutes in 13 playoff games in 2004-05.
