Gwinnett Rookie Fretter Named
In Glas Co Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Gwinnett rookie Colton Fretter is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Oct. 23-29, 2006.

Fretter scored his first professional hat trick with four goals, including the game winner, in a 6-3 win at South Carolina on Oct. 29 after registering an assist in a 4-0 win against Columbia on Oct. 28 and two points (1g-1a) in a 8-3 win at South Carolina on Oct. 27.

Selected in the eighth round (230th overall) by Atlanta in the 2002 National Hockey League Draft and under American Hockey League contract to the Chicago Wolves, the 24-year-old leads ECHL rookies with six goals and nine points and is tied for the rookie lead with one game-winning goal. Overall in the ECHL, he is tied for second in goals and game-winning goals and tied for fifth in scoring.
