Gwinnett’s Dwyer Recalled To Chicago

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that defenseman Jeff Dwyer has been recalled to Chicago of the American Hockey League. Gwinnett is the ECHL affiliate of Chicago of the AHL and Atlanta of the National Hockey League.

The first high school player drafted by the Thrashers, Dwyer was selected in the sixth round (178th overall) by Atlanta in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

In his first full professional season, the 24-year-old Dwyer has five penalty minutes in two games with Gwinnett and two points (0g-2a) and four penalty minutes in seven games with Chicago.

In 2003-04, Dwyer had four penalty minutes in 11 games with Chicago after finishing his season at Yale University, scoring 15 points (4g-11a) in 30 games.
