Hamilton Recalls Masse, Urquhart

WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling Nailers announced that forward Dany Masse and defenseman David Urquhart have been recalled by the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Bulldogs and Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League.


Masse, 22, rejoins Hamilton after posting five points in 25 games with Hamilton last season, and appearing in one game with the Bulldogs earlier this season. The Pocatiere, Quebec native has played in 20 games for Wheeling this season, registering nine points (1g-8a) and 12 penalty minutes. Prior to his professional career, Masse registered 110 points (44g-66a) in 68 regular-season games with the Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL) during the 2008-09 season. Masse added 36 points (15g-21a) in 19 playoff games that season, helping Drummondville to its first league championship.

Urquhart, 26, appeared in 13 games with the Bulldogs this season recording an assist and four penalty minutes. In 21 games with Wheeling this season, Urquhart registered nine points (1g-8a) and 30 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound defenseman has played a total of 120 AHL games amassing 19 points (6g-13a) and 74 penalty minutes. This is his second call-up to Hamilton this season.
