North Charleston, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that forward Danick Paquette has been assigned to the team by the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the Bears and the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League.
Paquette, 21, joins the Stingrays after skating in 59 games for the Gwinnett Gladiators last season scoring 13 goals and adding seven assists for 20 points and recording 179 penalty minutes. Against the Stingrays, the Montreal, Quebec native netted seven points (6g-1a) in 13 contests.
Prior to joining the Gladiators, Paquette completed a four-year junior career split between the Lewiston MAINEiacs and the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League totaling 175 points (94g-81a) in 251 games.
