Hershey Assigns Three Players To Stingrays

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced that defensemen Marc Busenburg and Donny Grover and forward Brendan Bernakevitch have been assigned from the Calder Cup champion Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of Hershey of the AHL and the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League.

In his first professional season in 2005-06, the 24-year-old Bernakevitch had 17 points (8g-9a) and 20 penalty minutes in 42 games with Manchester of the AHL and two assists and four penalty minutes in six games with Houston of the AHL.

In his first full professional season in 2005-06, the 23-year-old Grover had one goal and eight penalty minutes in 10 games with Lowell of the AHL and 41 points (10g-31a) and 80 penalty minutes in 66 regular season games and four points (2g-2a) and 32 penalty minutes in 18 playoff games for Danbury of the United Hockey League.
