Houston Signs Munce


HOUSTON – The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League announced that they have signed goaltender Ryan Munce, who played for the Mississippi Sea Wolves in 2008-09.

Selected in the third round (82nd overall) by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft, the 23 year old will join the team in Peoria for Game 1 of the West Division Semifinals.

Munce was 24-24-5 with a goals-against average of 3.21 and a save percentage of .915 in 54 games for Mississippi while also playing in the AHL where he had a goals-against average of 2.99 and a save percentage of .911 in three games for Syracuse.

He led the ECHL with 3,219 minutes and 1,852 saves while ranking fifth with 24 wins.
