The 23-year-old went 4-0-1 with a 1.85 goals-against average and a save percentage of .941 in five appearances last week.
A native of Barrie, Ontario, Hutchinson opened the week with 38 saves in a 3-2 shootout loss at Utah on Monday. He played the third period and overtime on Wednesday, stopping six of eight shots and earning the win, in a 6-5 win at Idaho. Hutchinson made 15 saves in a 4-1 win at Stockton on Friday, stopped 31 shots in a 4-2 victory at Bakersfield on Sunday and ended the week with 38 saves in a 3-1 win at San Francisco on Sunday.
Under contract to the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League, Hutchinson is 7-0-2 in nine appearances with the Reign this season and leads the ECHL with a .940 save percentage while ranking second with a 1.75 goals-against average.
Hutchinson has appeared in 29 career ECHL games with Ontario and Reading posting an overall record of 17-6-6 with three shutouts, a 2.57 goals-against average and a save percentage of .923.
Selected by the Boston Bruins in the third round (77th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Hutchinson has also seen action in 87 career American Hockey League games with Providence where he is 39-37-5 with seven shutouts, a 2.57 goals-against average and a save percentage of .916.
