Huxley rejoins Steelheads

Boise, Idaho – Idaho Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter announced Thursday that veteran enforcer and fan-favorite Adam Huxley has joined the team’s training camp.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League and the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.

The Wainwright, Alberta native has skated the past two seasons with the Steelheads, totaling 35 points (11g-24a) and 322 penalty minutes in 92 regular-season games.  The 322 penalty minutes ranks him fifth all-time for the Steelheads during the ECHL era, behind Lance Galbraith, Marty Flichel, Scott Burt and Blake Forsyth.

Huxley turned professional in 2004 and has accumulated 1,516 career penalty minutes between the ECHL and American Hockey League.  Broken down mathematically, Huxley has spent more than one full day of his professional life in the penalty box.
