PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots on Thursday announced that the team has renewed its affiliation agreement with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League. The affiliation also includes a working agreement with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
“We are excited and extremely pleased to once again have a working relationship with the Toronto Maple Leafs,” said Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr. “I have a lot of respect for Toronto head coach Pat Quinn, having played for him in Philadelphia, and also for general manager John Ferguson and assistant general Manager and director of player personnel Mike Penny. We are looking forward to another season of working together.”
“Our organization was delighted with our affiliation with the Ice Pilots this past season and we look forward to working with them again in the upcoming season,” said Toronto general manager John Ferguson. “The Ice Pilots have created a sound environment for the hockey club to succeed and we anticipate another season of positive development for our players.”
