PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that they have signed left wing Jordan Krestanovich and right wing Tyler Liebel.
The Ice Pilots are the ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
Selected in the fifth round (152nd overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old Krestanovich played in Italy in 2005-06, registering 23 points (11g-12a) and four penalty minutes in 38 games with Mora and Bolzano. He helped Pensacola win the Brabham Cup in 2004-05, scoring 68 points (27g-41a) in 69 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) in three games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
In his second professional season in 2005-06, the 23-year-old Liebel had 56 points (18g-38a) and 219 penalty minutes in 61 regular season games and three assists in five playoff games for Wichita of the Central Hockey League.
