IceMen add pair of goaltenders

Evansville, Ind. – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Dwight Mullins has announced that the Evansville IceMen have signed goaltenders Garrett Bartus and Chris Rawlings for the 2014-15 season.

Bartus, 24, returns to Evansville after playing in 24 games last season for the IceMen. The St. Charles, Ill. native posted a record of 8-9-6 with a 3.30 goals against average and a .902 save percentage. Prior to joining the pro ranks last season, Bartus played three years of college hockey at the University of Connecticut where he went 35-38-8 in 91 career appearances.

Rawlings, 25, comes to Evansville after spending time in three different leagues last season. He began the season in the ECHL with Gwinnett, appearing in six games, before moving on to Arizona of the Central Hockey League where he saw action in 12 games. A native of North Delta, British Columbia, Rawlings also appeared in five games with Portland of the American Hockey League. Rawlings played four seasons of college hockey at Northeastern University from 2009-13, where we went 47-55-16 with 11 shutouts in 123 career games.
