IceMen sign veteran forward Harvey

Evansville, Ind. – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Dwight Mullins has announced that the Evansville IceMen have added 29-year-old forward Kevin Harvey for the 2014-15 season.

The 2014-15 season will mark Harvey’s ninth professional season. Last season he posted 13 points (3g-10a) along with 78 penalty minutes in 27 games with Rapid City of the Central Hockey League. He also suited up in 37 games for the Coventry Blaze of the British Elite Hockey League, scoring 31 points (15g-16a) and adding 322 penalty minutes before joining Rapid City.

Harvey has posted 52 points (18g-34a) in 110 career ECHL games with Reading, Toledo and Elmira. He has also tallied 23 points (11g-12a) in 126 career games in the American Hockey League with Springfield and Syracuse.

A native of Sheffield, Ontario, Harvey was selected in the ninth round (270th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to turning pro in the 2006-07 season, Harvey played five seasons of junior hockey in the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League and the Ontario Hockey League.
