Idaho adds pair of Carleton University products

Boise, Idaho – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced that the Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward Damian Cross and defenseman Tim Billingsley. Both players come from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars and the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars.

The 25-year-old Cross finished second on the Ravens in both goals (10) and assists (15) in 25 games last season while serving as the team’s captain. He led Carlton in goals with 16 the year before, finishing his two seasons at the school with an average of more than a point-per-game (54 points in 45 games).

Billingsley, 25, was drafted in the seventh round (189th overall) of the 2008 NHL draft by the Arizona Coyotes. In his four seasons with the Ravens, Billingsley skated in 85 games, notching 54 points (11g-43a).
