The ECHL announced that the Idaho Steelheads are the 2017-18 recipient of the ECHL Ticket Department of the Year award.
The other finalists were the Adirondack Thunder, Kalamazoo Wings, South Carolina Stingrays, Toledo Walleye and Utah Grizzlies.
The finalists were selected by the League Office based on an overall analysis of year-over-year growth in several different ticketing categories including FSE, Group, and Walk-up Ticket Sales and Revenue, Total Attendance, and Number of Sellouts. The more categories teams showed growth in from the 2016-17 Season, the more credit they received.
Idaho increased in every ticket sales metric year-over-year, including group tickets sold, which increased by 38 percent and was the highest reported total in team history. The Steelheads also set a team record with 18 sellouts, which was twice as many as 2016-17 and set a new team record in attendance with 163,743 fans.
