Two statistics sum up what Steelheads forward Lance Galbraith brings to his team: He leads Idaho in points scored (20) and penalty minutes (49) in the playoffs. He’s a playmaker who likes to get under his opponent’s skin.
Idaho captain Marty Flichel (pictured) knows how to score. In the regular season, he ranked fourth in the ECHL in points scored (87) and was tied for third in goals scored (39). He has 18 points in 17 playoff games.
Lars Helminen joined Idaho late in the season, but he has made an immediate and powerful impact. The 5-foot-7 rookie defenseman out of Michigan Tech is tied for the team lead with 11 assists in the playoffs.
Idaho goaltender Steve Silverthorn leads all ECHL goaltenders with 12 wins in the playoffs, during which he has put up a stingy goals-against average of 1.88. The workhorse has played more minutes than any other goalie in the playoffs.
