Indy receives 2017-18 ECHL Social Media Award

The ECHL announced that the Indy Fuel have been selected as the 2017-18 recipient of the ECHL Social Media Award.


This award is presented to an ECHL Member Team who has exemplified the use of social media in the following categories; scope of team reach (how many forms of social media does the team utilize and number of followers), creative social content/campaigns, use of social media to achieve business goals and active engagement with fans.


The other finalists were the Florida Everblades, Greenville Swamp Rabbits, South Carolina Stingrays, Toledo Walleye and Worcester Railers.


This is the second consecutive season that the Fuel have received the Social Media Award. The Fuel generated an average of 2.49 million tweet impressions per month from October 2017 to April 2018 (up 44% from 2016-17 season) and averaged over 1.29 million monthly post impressions on Facebook, with an average monthly post reach of over 868,000. The team has generated an average of 1,020,720 monthly impressions (from ads alone), leading to over 60,000 additional click-thrus to the ticket page of the team website over the course of the season.
