Iowa Hires Former ECHL Coaches Allison, White

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League have announced the hiring of former ECHL coach Dave Allison as the team’s first head coach former Columbia coach Scott White (pictured) as director of hockey operations. Iowa is the primary development affiliate for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.
Allison, who coached Richmond from 1990-92, became the first ECHL coach in the NHL when he coached Ottawa for 25 games in 1995-96.
The only coach in team history, White led Columbia to the Kelly Cup Playoffs in each of his four seasons, including the Kelly Cup Finals in 2002-03.
