ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira Jackals announced that they are looking to increase membership in their Booster Club.
The team will hold its first meeting on Aug. 27 where fans and prospective members will be able to meet Jackals coach Steve Martinson and players Frank Littlejohn and Bruce Watson.
“We are looking to rebuild the membership back to where it was several years ago,” said general manager Robbie S. Nichols. “The Booster Club always played such a vital role in the Jackals operations each season and we are hoping to help bolster it again this year as we begin our exciting journey into the ECHL.”
The ECHL Board of Governors unanimously approved the Membership Application of the Elmira Jackals for admission to the ECHL. Playing their first ECHL season in 2007-08, the Jackals have averaged 3,308 per game over the last seven seasons with 31 sellouts, including a team record standing-room-only crowd of 4,126 on Oct. 13, 2006.
