Jackals Sign Rookies Grisdale, Tremblay

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira Jackals announced that they have signed rookie defensemen Chad Grisdale and Erick Tremblay.

The 6-foot-3 and 210-pound Grisdale played the last five seasons at the University of British Columbia where he had 21 points (5g-16a) and 232 penalty minutes in 149 games from 2002-07.

The 6-foot-3 and 203-pound Tremblay played the last five seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he had 35 points (7g-28a) and 578 penalty minutes in 303 regular season games and 46 penalty minutes in 28 playoff games for Montreal, Rimouski, Val-d’Or and Victoriaville from 2002-07.

Playing their first season in the ECHL in 2007-08, the Jackals have averaged 3,308 per game over the last seven seasons with 31 sellouts, including a team record standing-room-only crowd of 4,126 on Oct. 13, 2006.
