The Elmira Jackals face the ECHL’s defending champions, the Cincinnati Cyclones, in the best-of-seven North Division finals starting Friday at U.S. Bank Arena.
But in the regular season, the Jackals got the best of seven games against the Cyclones, winning four of them. And so far, Elmira has the better numbers in the playoffs.
The first two games between the Jackals and Cyclones, and the last two, if necessary, will be in Cincinnati; Elmira won three of its five games there this season. The last time the teams met was in Cincinnati, where they split a two-game set on Feb. 27 and 28.
