WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Either way, he was going to be in a dentist’s chair today, so former ECHL and Manitoba Moose sniper Jason Jaffray figured he might as well make it worth his while.

The 27-year-old left-winger, who was a two-time ECHL All-Star Game starter and 2003 ECHL Rookie of the Year, sparked some big-time decibels at the MTS Centre Tuesday night with a natural hat trick, including the game-winner with 46.9 seconds left in regulation time to power the Moose to a 3-1 victory over the Hershey Bears.

The triumph squared the best-of-seven AHL championship series at 1-1, with Game 3 Saturday night in Hershey’s Giant Center.

“I got a bit of an elbow in the head in the second,” Jaffray said about a chipped tooth. “The last thing I want to be doing on my day off is sitting in the dentist’s chair but after three goals, I guess I can deal with it.”
