WINDSOR, Colo. – The Colorado Eagles, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames and the American Hockey League’s Adirondack Flames, announced that they have re-signed Daniel Johnston for the 2014-15 season.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound defenseman generated 29 points (6g-23a) in 65 games as a rookie last season with the Eagles. He also added one assist in six playoff games with Colorado.
The Calgary, Alberta native came to Colorado having spent the previous six seasons in the WHL, with time split between the Portland Winterhawks and the Lethbridge Hurricanes. During that time, Johnston appeared in 253 regular season games, recording 105 points (17g-88a) and adding 251 penalty minutes.
