Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League, announce the signings of goaltender Ryan Nie, forward Bryan Jurynec and defenseman Ross Rouleau; per team policy, the terms of the contracts will be undisclosed.
After his rookie season in Kalamazoo, Nie spent two seasons in the ECHL compiling a record of 51-25-6. Last season, Nie returned to where his career started and helped the K-Wings capture the ECHL’s North Division crown. Nie was been stellar between the pipes last season for the K-Wings compiling a record of 28-12-4, while allowing a goals against average of 3.09 and a save percentage of 0.904.
Entering his third season in Kalamazoo, Jurynec has already established himself as a fan-favorite by finding a few roles for himself. Before ending the season with an injury, the native of Orland Park, Illinois played in 37 contests for the K-Wings recording 15 points (4 goals, 11 assists) and amassing 102 penalty minutes.
Rouleau is entering his third season of professional hockey. The native of Hancock, Michigan played his first two seasons in the Central Hockey League with the Texas Brahmas. During the 2008-09, the blue-liner was a member off the Brahmas CHL championship team and last season he played one game in the AHL with the Houston Aeros.
