Kaczowka, Jerant Reassigned To Peoria

PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria Rivermen announced that left wings David Kaczowka and Mark Jerant have been assigned to the team by Worcester of the American Hockey League. Peoria is the ECHL affiliate of Worcester.

Selected in the fourth round (98th overall) by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, the 23-year-old Kaczowka has registered one assist and 12 penalty minutes in three games with Peoria. In 2003-04, Kaczowka played in the ECHL with Peoria, scoring nine points (4g-5a) with 72 penalty minutes in 15 regular season games and one goal and 24 penalty minutes in eight playoff games, and Gwinnett, scoring three points (2g-1a) and accumulating 118 penalty minutes in 22 games.

The 6-4 and 250-pound Jerant, who has 15 penalty minutes in four games with Worcester, played 26 games in the American Hockey League with Hershey in 2003-04, registering two assists and 72 penalty minutes.
