Suspended One Game, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL announced that Las Vegas center Francis Lemieux was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL game #166 at Bakersfield, played on Nov. 27.

Lemieux was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct for checking from behind at 16:06 of the third period.

Lemieux was automatically suspended and fined under Rule #44.5 – Checking From Behind.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Lemieux missed Las Vegas’ game against Bakersfield (Nov. 28).
