Later, Turon Reassigned From Marlies To Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that rookie defenseman Steven Later and defenseman David Turon have been reassigned from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League and are expected to be in the Ice Pilots lineup for Tuesday’s game against Augusta.

The Ice Pilots are the ECHL affiliate of the Marlies of the AHL and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fourth round (122nd overall) by the Maple Leafs in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to Toronto of the NHL, the 22-year-old Turon has 11 points (3g-8a) in 34 games with Pensacola and one assist and 10 penalty minutes in nine games with the Marlies.

Under contract to Toronto of the AHL, the 21-year-old Later has 16 points (5g-11a) and 104 penalty minutes in 26 games with Pensacola and one assist and six penalty minutes in eight games with the Marlies.
