Lenes returns for second season in Wheeling

Lenes, 26, returns to the Nailers after playing the final 38 games of the 2011-12 season with the club, following a trade with the Trenton Titans. In 38 games with Wheeling, Lenes tallied 15 goals and added 15 assists.  He made his pro debut with the Ontario Reign in 2009-10, scoring 23 points (13g-10a)  in 58 games and representing the Reign in the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game.

 

Prior to turning pro, Lenes played one season of junior hockey with the USHL’s Sioux City Musketeers, on his way to attending the University of Vermont, where the Shelburne, Vt. native totaled 92 points (46g-46a) in 148 games.
