Letourneau-Leblond Hopes Toughness
Helps Earn Roster Spot With New Jersey

NEWARK, N.J. – He may have the longest name in hockey, but the words Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond, who played for Trenton in 2006-07 and 2007-08, are beginning to roll off the tongue of Devils coach Brent Sutter.

A long shot to make the NHL roster when training camp opened, the rookie left winger continued to impress his coach and teammates Monday night when he fought heavyweight Donald Brashear in a 3-2 preseason loss to the Washington Capitals at the Prudential Center.

Letourneau-Leblond has played in all four of the Devils’ preseason games. “It says I guess they like what they’re seeing,” he said with a smile. “I hope I can be here when the season starts.”
