Longtime rival Boe joins Eagles

WINDSOR, Colo. – The Colorado Eagles announced that they have signed defenseman Channing Boe for the 2015-16 season.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound blueliner spent the past two seasons with the Utah Grizzlies, collecting 19 points (2g-17a) in 99 games and posting a combined plus/minus rating of +10. Boe served as the Grizzlies team captain last season, after being named an alternate captain in 2013-14. He also saw action in 124 games with the Las Vegas Wranglers from 2011-13, where he notched 30 points (7g-23a) to go along with 164 penalty minutes.

The Bemidji, Minn. native spent four seasons at the NCAA level with Minnesota State University-Mankato, collecting 25 points (8g-17a) and 156 penalty minutes in 131 games with the Mavericks. He then began his professional career appearing in eight games with the Wheeling Nailers at the end of the 2010-11 season.
