MacAdam Returns Behind Dayton Bench

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced on Tuesday that Don MacAdam will return as head coach and that former Bombers forward Colin Miller will join the team as a full-time assistant coach.

MacAdam came to Dayton in 2004-05 after four seasons as the general manager and head coach of Charlotte. Prior to joining the Checkers, MacAdam served as a consultant for Canada’s World Championship Team and coached in both the Bauer Cup and the World Championships.

He was head coach of the Nippon Paper Cranes in the Japan Ice Hockey League from 1996-98, and was associate head coach of Milwaukee in the International Hockey League in 1994-95. He was head coach of the Ottawa Senators American Hockey League affiliate from 1992-94, and head coach of the Edmonton Oilers AHL affiliate from 1989-92. He began his professional coaching career as a member of the Detroit Red Wings staff from 1986-89.
