ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies announced that defenseman Vince Macri has been assigned from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League. Macri is expected to be in the lineup on Sunday when Atlantic City hosts Trenton in Game 3 of the North Division Semifinals.
Atlantic City is the ECHL affiliate of Bridgeport of the AHL and the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. The 23-year-old Macri, who signed a contract with the Islanders on August 30, attended training camp with Bridgeport prior to his assignment to Atlantic City on October 13.
The 23-year-old Macri scored 14 points (5g-9a) in 49 games to finish fourth among Bullies defensemen. In 27 games with Bridgeport, Macri had one goal and four penalty minutes.
