Marlies Sign Former ECHL Netminder Ford

TORONTO, Ontario – The Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League announced that they have signed goaltender Todd Ford, who has played in the ECHL each of his first three seasons.

The Columbia Inferno is the ECHL affiliate of the Marlies of the AHL and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.

He was 16-13-6 with a goals-against average of 2.98 and a save percentage of .914 in 37 games with Columbia in 2006-07 while also playing in the AHL where he was 2-1-0 with a goals-against average of 3.27 and a save percentage of .869 in four games with the Marlies.

Selected in the third round (74th overall) by the Maple Leafs in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 23 year old is 45-34-9 with one shutout, a goals-against average of 3.00 and a save percentage of .914 in 94 games in the ECHL with Pensacola and Columbia.
