BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced that ECHL All-Star left wing Jeff Hutchins has been loaned to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. Hutchins had an assist in the ECHL All-Star Game on Wednesday and finished second in the “Hardest Shot” competition at the skills competition, registering 92.1 miles per hour.
Hutchins, who attended training camp with Grand Rapids, had two penalty minutes in the Griffins game against defending Calder Cup Champion Milwaukee on Saturday. It is the second AHL call up of the season for Hutchins, who had a goal in three games with Rochester earlier this month.
Hutchins leads Mississippi with 18 goals and six-power play goals and has 16 assists, 34 points and a plus-minus rating of +16 in 35 games.
