Rally Back For 5-3 Win In Game 3

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (Ticker) — Barrie Moore and Robin Carruthers both tallied twice in the third period to help theColumbia Inferno defeat the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies,5-3, and win its first game in the best-of-seven Kelly CupFinals. Moore tied the game at 3-3 when he scored a shorthandedgoal with 3:55 remaining in the contest and tallied anothershorthanded marker 48 seconds later to supply Columbia with itsfirst lead in the Finals. With the Inferno trailing 3-1,Carruthers started a rally when he potted his seventh playoffgoal with 6:57 left in the final stanza and added anempty-netter with 25 seconds remaining to secure the win. RejeanStringer chipped in with three assists in the game and now has14 helpers in the playoffs. Josh Blackburn made 35 saves in thegame to earn his second win of the postseason for Columbia,which will attempt to tie the series at two games apiece onMonday in Atlantic City. Kevin Colley tallied twice for theBoardwalk Bullies and Luke Curtin finished with a goal and anassist. Scott Stirling made 23 saves in the loss and had hisscoreless streak snapped at 171:41.
