Murphy Returns To Falcons

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced the signing of defenseman Cory Murphy, the first player signed by new head coach and general manager Matt Thomas.

Murphy played three seasons in Fresno from 2000-03 and helped the team win the West Coast Hockey League title in 2002.

Selected in the seventh round (160th overall) by Tampa Bay in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Murphy is the team’s career leader among defensemen in goals (43), assists (115) and points (158).
