Nailers Acquire Cook From Columbia

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that they have acquired the rights to forward Brendan Cook from the Columbia Inferno to complete a Mar. 7 transaction.

In his second professional season in 2006-07, the 24-year-old had seven points (5g-2a) in 12 games with Columbia, 20 points (9g-11a) in 40 games with Utah and five points (2g-3a) in 10 games with Pensacola.

Wheeling is the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
