Nailers’ Condon recalled to Hamilton

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers, ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League, announced that goaltender Mike Condon has been reassigned to Hamilton by Montreal.

Condon, 23, is playing in his first full season of professional hockey, after a four-year collegiate career at Princeton University and brief stints in both the ECHL and AHL in 2012-13. Condon has started 32 of the Nailers’ 54 games, posting a 17-11-4 record, a 2.47 goals against average, and a .921 save percentage. During the month of November, the Holliston, Mass. native earned a pair of honors, as he was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Dec. 1, as well as ECHL Rookie of the Month for November. Condon has also appeared in three games with the Bulldogs, going 1-1-0, running his career record as a pro to 24-13-4 in 44 games.
