Nailers, Swanson Agree To Terms

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Jeremy Swanson.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the sixth round (169th overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 23 year old had three assists and 41 penalty minutes in 16 games for the Florida Everblades in 2006-07 while also playing in the AHL where he had two assists and 47 penalty minutes in 47 regular season games and four assists and 14 penalty minutes in six playoff games for Rochester.
