Nashville reassigns Hellberg to Cyclones

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced that goaltender Magnus Hellberg has been assigned to the club.

A second-round selection (38th overall) by the Predators in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Hellberg appeared in a pair of games last year for the Cyclones and went 1-1-0 with a 2.52 goals-against average. The 22-year-old native of Uppsala, Sweden has spent the bulk of his pro career in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals where over the past two years, he’s compiled a 27-26-1 record along with a 2.38 goals-against average. He made his NHL debut with the Predators on Oct. 26, 2013 against the St. Louis Blues.
