Nastiuk Joins Wranglers

LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Wranglers announced that they have received goaltender Kevin Nastiuk from the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

Las Vegas is the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League and the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the fourth round (126th overall) by Stanley Cup champion Carolina in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Hurricanes, the 21-year-old was 13-4-2 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 2.52 and a save percentage of .924 in 20 games for the Florida Everblades as a rookie in 2005-06 while also playing in the AHL with Lowell where he was 1-7-3 with a goals-against average of 3.45 and a save percentage of .887.
