LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. – RIBEAU Entertainment LLC announced that it will build a 6,500-seat arena in Lexington County, S.C., designed to be the home of the Columbia Inferno professional hockey team which currently plays in the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, S.C.
The $30 million project is expected to be completed in time for the 2007-08 ECHL season and will bring more than 140 full-time and part-time jobs to Lexington County.
“We are excited about the opportunities for this arena and the Inferno with the move to Lexington County,” said ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna. “The ECHL remains committed to providing its fans with affordable quality entertainment in a family environment as we continue to focus on the fan. I feel that this facility will exceed all expectations with support like we have had in Lexington County.”
