Cincinnati, Ohio -The Cincinnati Cyclones have signed forward Ryan Sirokyand defenseman Theo Calvas to contracts for the 2019-20 season.
The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League and the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
A native of Manhattan Beach, California, Siroky recently completed a his collegiate career at Miami University. He accounted for 23 points (15g-8a) and had 32 penalty minutes in 137 games across four seasons for the RedHawks.
Prior to his collegiate days, he spent parts of four seasons in the United States Hockey League seeing time with the Green Bay Gamblers, Bloomington Thunder and Muskegon Lumberjacks. In 180 USHL contests, Siroky totaled 69 points (39g-30a), and helped the Gamblers to a Clark Cup championship during the 2011-12 season. He was also an alternate captain in Green Bay in 2013-14, and captained the Thunder one season later.
Calvas made his pro debut late last season, appearing in four games for the Toledo Walleye. Prior to turning pro, the Southfield, Michigan native spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, Sarnia Sting and North Bay Battalion. In 211 OHL games, Calvas amassed 54 points (7g-47a) along with 228 penalty minutes.
