The Steelheads have retired two jerseys in their franchise history: Cal Ingraham’s No. 22 and Jeremy Mylymok’s No. 4.
They might consider hanging No. 13 from the rafters as well.
No one seems to want it.
Five Steelheads have donned No. 13 this season, including rookie Aaron Dawson, who is wearing that jersey during Idaho’s three-game homestand against Bakersfield this week.
“The 13 was just by chance,” he said of the number that has some unlucky connotations connected to it. “I wouldn’t have chosen it. I did think about it for a second because I’m pretty superstitious, but I had to erase that out of my mind pretty quickly.”
