Orlando adds size with Lane and Woodley

Orlando, Fla. – The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have agreed to terms with left wing Jordan Lane and defenseman Ben Woodley.

 

The Solar Bears are the ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League and the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.

 

Over the last two seasons Lane (6’8", 250lbs) has played in both the ECHL and the Central Hockey League. The Whitehorse, Yukon Territory native tallied 132 penalty minutes in 61 games while playing for the Evansville Icemen (CHL) during the 2010-11 season. In 2011-12, Lane played in 34 games with the Elmira Jackals tallying two points (1g-1a) and adding 53 penalty minutes.

 

Woodley (6’6", 230lbs) comes to the Solar Bears after a successful season in the British Columbia Hockey League. The 20-year-old from London, Ontario recorded 47 points (5g-42a) in 59 games and accumulated 125 penalty minutes with the Prince George Spruce Kings. He made his pro debut during the Central Hockey League playoffs, appearing in three games with Evansville.
