Parker returns to Eagles

WINDSOR, Colo. – The Colorado Eagles, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames and the American Hockey League’s Adirondack Flames, announced that Jonathan Parker has signed with the team for the 2014-15 season.

The 5-foot-11, 192-pound forward was assigned to the Eagles last November by the Buffalo Sabres and went on to post 24 points (11g-13a) in 28 games with Colorado. Parker was later involved in a trade between the Sabres and the Los Angeles Kings, sending his rights to the Kings and ultimately re-assigning him to the Ontario Reign, where he registered an additional six points (2g-4a) in seven contests.

Parker has tallied 41 points (17g-24a) in 54 career ECHL games with Colorado, Ontario and Gwinnett while adding 12 points (6g-6a) in 76 career AHL games with Rochester. The Solana Beach, Calif. native enjoyed a stellar career in the Western Hockey League with the Prince Albert Raiders and Seattle Thunderbirds recording 155 points (77g-78a) in 205 games. During his final season with the Raiders in 2010-11, Parker notched 45 goals and 86 points in 71 games, including 17 multi-point games. The 45 goals were the most goals scored by a Raider in the previous nine seasons. After wrapping up his career in Prince Albert, Parker signed a three-year entry level contract with the Buffalo Sabres in 2011 and was a participant in the team’s training camp in each of the past three seasons.
